Hunter Biden Child Support Settlement Confirmed: What Daughter Gets Is Raising Eyebrows

We’ve seen what a shameless way the Biden family has treated Hunter Biden’s child by Lunden Roberts, Navy Joan, with Joe Biden failing to even recognize her when he speaks of his grandchildren (does he even know she exists?) and not even hanging up a stocking for her. One of the things that Roberts wanted from Hunter Biden was to have the child be able to use the Biden name. But Hunter even fought that small thing. I don’t think if I were the mother if I’d want my daughter saddled with that name, but Lunden Roberts thought it might be helpful for her. Hunter wouldn’t even give the child that.

We wrote previously about the reported agreement, and now it’s confirmed that they settled.

It was Hunter that brought this particular segment of the ongoing child support battle. He had been paying Roberts $20,000 a month under an agreement that they made in 2020 after it was determined through a paternity test that he was the father. He had denied it. But then he wanted to slash what he was paying for his daughter, claiming that he could no longer afford to pay that amount due to changed financial circumstances. However, even though he was asking for the cut, he kept delaying fully informing the court about his financial situation. They finally got him to appear at a deposition, which Lunden Roberts attended, and then this settlement soon followed.

It’s still not clear what amount they agreed Biden has to pay per month for his daughter because that detail was redacted from the settlement documents that were made public. Although, as we had previously noted, the word was that it had been cut to $5,000, according to what a source told the NY Post. As part of this settlement, Roberts dropped asking for the Biden name for the child.

So that has to make one think: what did the Roberts get out of this deal when it appears that she may have agreed to a lot less? You would think that that might mean that she got something else up front to make this worthwhile. But what she got is something our sister site Townhall called perhaps the “worst consolation prize in family court history”: Hunter has agreed to give his daughter some of his paintings. The child will get to select the painting/s or keep the money from any sales of these works. But exactly how many she gets is unclear.

Though it was unclear from the filing what the new payments will be, the president’s son will “assign to the child” some of his paintings, “which shall vary in size with a minimum size of 24×24.” The number of paintings along with the new amount for the child support payments were both redacted from the filing.

Additionally, “the child shall select the painting which shall either be sent to the child” or to a gallery designated by Roberts, the filing says.

What a way of getting out of the situation without having to front any real money; he probably has a ton of his paintings in his home. The paintings may actually be worth something since they’ve been valued from $75,000 up to $500,000. That, of course, raised all kinds of questions about the potential possibilities of money laundering with this kind of artwork and amounts of money. The White House then got involved and said they were going to hide the buyers so Hunter wouldn’t know–only the gallery owner would know. But then, of course, we wouldn’t know either who was funneling money to Hunter with that neat arrangement. The involvement of the White House was itself a seeming conflict of interest. Even the Obama ethics chief called out the arrangement in 2021.

This also then stops any further examination of his finances. They’re trying to help clear the decks for his father’s run for reelection in 2024. But that isn’t stopping the Congressional investigation into their foreign financial dealings, which keeps uncovering things, nor is it stopping other actions like the deposition he was required to give in the defamation case brought against him by the computer repair owner. If the Bidens think they’re going to skate by all the scandal, they have another thing coming.
