Texas Rangers honored at Texas Capitol for World Series win

AUSTIN (KXAN) — Following their 2023 World Series win, Gov. Greg Abbott honored the Texas Rangers on Thursday at the Governor’s Office in the Texas Capitol.

The team will be presented with a congratulatory proclamation.

On Nov. 1, the Texas Rangers won their first Major League Baseball World Series title, defeating the Arizona Diamondbacks in five games. The franchise moved to Texas in 1972.

Abbott was joined by the Texas Rangers Managing Partner and Majority Owner Ray Davis and other members of the team.
