UPDATED: Report reveals why woman allegedly shot her husband

A woman reportedly shot her husband during a dispute the two were having early Tuesday morning.

 

BRYAN, Texas (KBTX) – The Bryan Police Department is investigating a shooting that occurred Tuesday morning in a residential area.

It happened in the 4500 block of Woodbend Drive between Creekwood Drive and Conquest Circle.

According to an arrest report released on Wednesday, Stephanie Arevalo shot her husband in the leg after he was allegedly caught cheating. She also threatened to shoot the other woman who was also there at the house. The report says after shooting him, she called 911 and waited for officers to get there.

She reportedly told police her husband deserved it and she knew she was going to jail.

The victim suffered a non-life-threatening wound and was treated and released from the hospital.

Stephanie Arevalo was arrested and charged with Aggravated Assault/Family Violence with a Deadly Weapon.
