Woman arrested in Bryan shooting

BRYAN, Texas (FOX 44) – A Bryan woman has been arrested in connection with a Tuesday morning shooting.

The Bryan Police Department responded to the 4500 block of Woodbend Drive at approximately 7:04 a.m. in response to a gunshot victim. When officers arrived, they found one victim with an apparent gunshot wound and immediately started administering medical attention.

The victim was transported to a local hospital with non-life threatening injuries, and was later released.

Officers have arrested Stephanie Arevalo, who is charged with Aggravated Assault/Family Violence with a Deadly Weapon.

Police say this appears to be an isolated incident. There is no immediate threat to the public.
